Coeur de Pirate made a big splash in the landscape of French music in 2008 with a debut album the same name, which earned her the Felix "Newcomer of the Year," nominated for a Juno and a mention in the long list of Polaris Prize. After the success of North America, c, is Europe's creaking for Montreal, whose album is triple platinum in France and sells over 600,000 copies worldwide. Beatrice Martin made her mark on stage, in Quebec and Europe, putting on the great festivals: Osheaga, the Francofolies Montreal and LaRochelle, Printemps de Bourges and Eurockéennes, to name a few.
